Billionaire Logan Hawkings needs a vacation.
He’s had a rough time after the death of his father and the betrayal of his fiancée. But with a visit to a recent business acquisition—a private island resort in the Bahamas—he has a chance to mend his broken heart.
When a hurricane blows in, a misplaced passport and a stalled elevator bring Logan together with an unusual woman named Bronte. She’s unlike anyone he’s ever met—down to earth, incredibly sensual, and even quotes Plato.
She also has no clue that he’s rich…
Bronte Dawson, a waitress from the Midwest, is stranded with the hotel’s domineering yet sexy manager Logan. What’s the harm in a little fling when it’s just the two of them, alone in paradise? But after several steamy island nights in Logan’s arms, Bronte’s ready to give her heart—and her body—to the man in charge.
But she soon discovers there’s more to Logan than he’s told her…a billion times more. Now, Bronte’s caught in a whirlwind affair with one of the world’s most powerful men. But can their love endure their differences or will it all just blow over?
Jessica Clare is a New York Times and USA

She also has a third pen name (because why stop at two?). As Jessica Sims,
she writes fun, sexy shifter paranormals. She lives in Texas with her
husband, cats, and too many dust-bunnies. Jill spends her time writing,
reading, writing, playing video games, and doing even more writing.
As a lover of contemporary romance, I was excited about Jessica Clare's Stranded with a Billionaire. I was intrigued to see if she could take a fairly over-worked idea and make it original. And while it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, I did enjoy following Bronte and Logan on their romantic escapade.
Being stranded at a resort, tucked away on a private island, in the middle of a hurricane, with a hunky billionaire doesn't sound half bad. And for Bronte, it meant a happily ever after she never saw coming. The chemistry between her and Logan was immediate and intense. They fit together perfectly, and their connection was made all the more evident when their wooing romance turned intimate - and boy was it steamy!
While their romance was beautiful and sweet, unfortunately for me, it was a little too predictable. I loved the idea of being stranded somewhere with a man that you know nothing about and having a connection, but there were elements of the "billionaire story" that were all too familiar and made me feel like I'd visited certain scenarios plenty of times before. Were there some things original? Absolutely. And those things were great! Sadly, for a lot of us, the billionaire just feels a lot less... appealing.
That being said, however, I really did enjoy this story. Jessica Clare is a fantastic writer who draws you in and keeps you entertained from start to finish. And with this being the first book in a new series, I have a feeling that we'll be in for a real treat with the future books in this series. I know I'll be reading!
