Spooktacular Giveaway Hop :)

Welcome to my stop on the Spooktacular Giveaway Hop! :)  I hope you are having fun visiting all of these amazing blogs (and hopefully winning some prizes along the way!).

At this stop, I must ask... who doesn't LOVE Halloween?!  It's a favorite holiday at our home :)

Our daughter LOVES zombies.

My other half likes his vampires...

...and I'm more of a witch fan.

But regardless of our favorite "spook" of the season, we love Halloween because it's a great time for our family to participate in fun activities.  As a matter of fact, this weekend will be our annual pilgrimage to the pumpkin patch, where we'll enjoy a hayride, warm apple cider and picking out the lucky pumpkins that will grace our front porch for the holiday.  Do any of you have an annual Halloween/fall activity that you look forward to every year?  Do you have any exciting costumes planned for trick or treating?

For the hop, I'm giving away a small box of cozy mysteries (all of which have been released or are being released in the last few months), and a $5 Amazon gift card.  All you have to do is enter the rafflecopter below for your chance to win, and be sure to follow the linky list at the bottom of the post for your chance to win even more awesome prizes from more amazing bloggers!  Thanks for stopping by, and everyone have a very Happy Halloween! :)

I don't dress up for Halloween, but I love seeing what others come up with for costumes.

I just like all the decorations, especially pumpkins. I don't dress up, but enjoy the kids costumes, especially the little ones.

When I was a kid, I loved dressing up as a witch. I wore a wig of red hair and rode a broom. Good memories!

I do not have any halloween traditions in this household nor do I have any plans for halloween this year.

This year we have a Beauty and the Beast theme. I'm going as provincial Belle, husband is going as Lumiere, and our 2-year-old son is going as Cogsworth. I can't wait!

My favorite thing to do this time of year is drive through the mountains to see all the colorful trees.

I like watching pumpkin-carving contests, and making my vegan gluten-free pumpkin chocolate chip cookies!

No costume but I do have a pair of orange and black socks with pumpkins on them that I wear while handing out candy!

There's nothing big or special planned for Halloween. Each year I go to my niece's to help dress her two toddlers in costumes, then hand out candy to trick or treaters :)

We love dressing up for Holloween.

I have no clue what my sons going to be this year so no to the costumes. But after trick or treating we read a halloween book then a movie.

In my area, many kids do not trick or treat and I don't have kids so I don't really have any traditions. Even though I've had about 10 trick or treaters in the last 15 years, I always have candy just in case.

I love taking the kids to the pumpkin farm close to our house!

I always love this time of year - especially Halloween because I love all things spooky and because my birthday is three days later. :-) I don't have any specific traditions, but I am going to be a bit silly this year with my costume for work. I am going to get lots those strips of paint samples from Lowes, and I am going to be 'fifty shades of grey.' :-)

Well, I don't love Halloween. Yea I'm weird. I do love the season...just not the holiday. No kids out here anymore, and I really don't need any candy or sweets. Too fat already.

One of the things I love to make for fall is hot apple cider. Not just for Halloween of course, but in our part of the world, it's pretty cold most years and is perfect for both the adults and kids!

Our event each year is a party a friend's house, she decorates accordingly and is super great about what she serves, its all creepy! I do not have a costume planned for this year. I have previously dressed as a little girl ( at age 24) and wore pig tails, and flannel jammies.

No special costume this year. When I was younger I dresses as Mariah Carey.

I really enjoy going to the haunted corn mazes, but I love EVERYTHING about Hallowe'en!

My son wants to be Luigi from the Mario Bros. It has a blow-up belly which will be funny on a 5 year old!

My first choice is to hand out the candy on Halloween but many years I seem to be the adult that gets to take the little ones trick or treating. At least I get some exercise!

Dressing up in costume was always one of my favorite things about Halloween. You got to be someone else for a few hours. Unfortunately I don't really dress up anymore. Though it should be interesting to see what the kids that live around me will come up with this year.

Do you have any exciting costumes planned for trick or treating?
Not really sure what I want to be this year.

We started to go to this haunted trail every year as a work group and let me just tell you it is hilarious to watch them get the crap scared out of them. We also do a small get together where we have a bonfire and roast marshmellows etc. I am planning on going as a purge member this year (:

I am looking forward to trick or treating with my children. They will be Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy this year. If the weather is too cold and rainy, we stay in and play Halloween themed games and snack on candy corn and peanuts.

Linda Kish said...

We don't have any Halloween or fall plans. I'm retired but the others work. As far as Halloween goes, I don't dress up, I just hand out the candy.

Thanks for the chance to win!

The most exciting activity we do each year before Halloween is carving carving pumpkins with the kids.. It is always very exciting when the pumpkins are done and we put al light in them. The kids are so proud of their creations and so are their parents.. My husband goes treating with the kids and I stay home to give out candy. I love seeing all the children in their costumes and their bright eyes when you give them candy. I remember trick-or-tricking is it was one of the funniest things I ever did.

We always watch The Nightmare Before Christmas while eating fast food (a treat in itself around here!) after we get back from trick-or-treating, every year without fail, it's my favorite part. :) Thank you for the chance to win and HappyHalloween!

I love fall and Halloween, it's my favorite time of the year.

Our costumes would be a grim reaper or a siren. We have fun dressing up. Our tradition is watching movies centered around horror each year.
